Greeley’s hospitality sector has rebounded nicely from the COVID-19 pandemic, enjoying some of the highest occupancy rates along Colorado’s front range. The good news continues with two new hotel projects planned to open in the next year and a half.
The first is a new Residence Inn by Marriott, a 110-room, four-story, 97,300-square-foot project on 4.25 acres at 2495 W. 28th Street, the former Carmike Cinema site. The project is scheduled to break ground this year and will be developed by D Greeley, LLC out of Frisco, TX.
The second project is a new Woodspring Suites by Choice Hotels, a 122-room, 4-story, 48,660-square-foot hotel on 2.25 acres. It will be built east of 71st Avenue, north of 10th Street on a portion of the former Hewlett Packard campus parking lot, between school and commercial uses on 10th Street. Genesis Companies, out of Kansas City, MO, is the developer.
