Like many Northern Colorado communities, 2022 was a record year for Greeley permit activity in the number of permits issued and in total valuation.
The below graph shares permit velocity data from 2017 to 2022. Multi-Family units in 2022 were up 184% over 2021, with 1,737 units permitted (shown in red). Commercial remained strong, up 142% from 2021 (shown in green). Single-family permits remained steady, with 333, up 10% over 2021 (shown in blue).
Another important lens to consider is total valuation. Again, 2022 showed excellent growth, with single-family up 12%, multi-family up 151%, and commercial holding steady at 82% of 2021 values. These numbers represent a continued full recovery from 2020. Greeley’s pipeline of projects remains strong, and 2023 is already off to a great start.
