Fresno-based Bitwise Industries has announced they will be expanding into five additional states as part of an investor-funded campaign that replicates the company’s model for workforce and software development. Locations include Greeley, Colorado; Buffalo, New York; Cheyenne, Wyoming; El Paso, Texas; and Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Bitwise uses a model that trains people in computer coding, software platforms, and entrepreneurship. Their federally accredited apprenticeship program and software development arm has taught more than 8,000 non-traditional tech students, with 80 percent going on to careers in the field.
The company is currently working with the City’s Department of Economic Health & Housing to find a location in Greeley.
